Bombay Duck/Bombil

Despite its name, the Bombay duck or Bombil is a lizardfish, not a duck. It is found in the Arabian Sea between Mumbai (formerly Bombay) and Kutch, with a few individuals found in the Bay of Bengal. In the South China Sea, large numbers are also captured. Since the fish's meat has no distinct flavour, it is often dried and salted before consumption.

The weights mentioned are Gross Weights and are Weighed before cutting and cleaning. Net Weight may vary.
